Melania Trump Threatens to Sue Hunter Biden Over “False and Defamatory” Claims

Washington, D.C. – U.S. First Lady Melania Trump has threatened legal action against Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, demanding that he retract statements she described as “false and defamatory.”

In a letter obtained exclusively by Fox News, Melania’s attorney, Alejandro Brito, issued a formal notice to Hunter Biden and his lawyer, Abbe Lowell, on August 6. The letter demanded that Hunter immediately withdraw his remarks, remove the content from public platforms, issue a formal retraction, and apologize. Failure to comply, the letter warned, would result in legal proceedings.

The dispute centers on comments Hunter Biden made during an interview with Andrew Callaghan on Channel 5, published on YouTube in early August. In the interview, Hunter claimed that Melania first met Donald Trump through Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender.

Melania Trump’s legal team argues that the allegation is baseless and damaging to her reputation. “Mrs. Trump will pursue all available legal remedies if these defamatory claims are not retracted without delay,” the letter stated.

Epstein, who was arrested in July 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking minors, was accused by prosecutors of abusing dozens of underage girls between 2002 and 2005 at his residences in New York and Florida. Some victims were allegedly as young as 14. He was denied bail and later found dead in his Manhattan jail cell in what was ruled a suicide.

The controversy adds to the long-running public tensions between the Trump and Biden families, now spilling over into a high-profile legal threat involving the current First Lady.
